Dreaming of a better, more promising future, George Jachymiak moved to the US from his native Poland. A hard worker with the ability to quickly hone his skills, George had no trouble mastering the auto body trade and he became a valued addition to the local community. He worked with several notable repair shops and dealerships while he was a body technician, further advancing his capabilities in this industry.

After hours, he kept on working in his own garage repairing vehicles for his family and friends, which reflected his tireless devotion to the trade. In 1995, George’s good friend, the late Andy Bartoszek visited him and told him of a shop that was being sold in Chicago, believing it to be the perfect opportunity for George to start his own business.

However, George chose to rent a shop in Chicago for a year before purchasing TechniCraft Collision Repair in Justice in 1996. With his son, Sebastian, George built a business based on fair, high-quality collision repair services for all the surrounding communities. Despite the challenges they faced while running their Justice business, the father and son were determined, and enabled the success of the business we know and love to this very day.

As it stands today, Technicraft has outgrown its humble, yet proud beginnings, partnering with many insurance companies, dealerships, and serving more customers every day. Sebastian and his wife Kinga developed their vision even further and purchased three additional locations: S&S Paint & Body in Bloomington, IL, Schaumburg Auto Body in Schaumburg, IL and B&L Automotive Repairs in Chicago, IL. The quarter of a century of growth, partnerships, and success spells even more future prosperity for the TechniCraft family and those they serve.
